ᴄʀᴜsʜᴇᴅ ʙʏ sᴛᴀᴛɪᴄ

CRUSHED BY STATIC is a solo harsh noise project based in Finland. Before getting into noise, the musician behind the project played guitar and bass in punk, shoegaze, post-punk and metal bands, toured, recorded music and spent years messing around with electronic sound

In 2025, that gradually turned into CRUSHED BY STATIC. The project uses noise boxes, no-input mixers, self-feedback samplers, DIY electronics, prepared guitar, pedals and contact mics to build dense, unstable walls of distortion and feedback.

Live sets are mostly improvised and depend heavily on physical interaction with the gear, feedback loops, accidents and whatever the setup decides to do at that moment. Alongside live performances, CRUSHED BY STATIC has built an international audience through short performance clips, reels and DIY sound experiments, with most of the project’s activity documented on Instagram/Tik Tok.
